Lahore: Cement despatches in Pakistan saw a notable increase of 7.83% in May 2024, reaching 4.275 million tons compared to 3.965 million tons in May 2023, according to the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). This information was published on June 5.

- Overall Despatches: Slight increase of 1.36%, reaching 2.915 million tons.
- Domestic Despatches: Minor decline of 0.44%, totaling 2.753 million tons.
- Exports: Grew by 46.11%, amounting to 162,929 tons.
South-based Mills:
- Overall Despatches: Significant rise of 24.91%, hitting 1.359 million tons.
- Domestic Despatches: Decreased by 9.33%, falling to 604,672 tons.
- Exports: Saw an impressive increase of 79.04%, reaching 755,033 tons.
Year-to-Date Performance:
Over the first eleven months of the fiscal year, total despatches grew by 3.00%, totaling 41.730 million tons. Domestic deliveries fell by 3.91% to 35.097 million tons, while exports surged by 66.26%, reaching 6.633 million tons.
